The Southern Railway line ran above the bridge whilst the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch track ran underneath to deliver materials for the building of the largest of the mirrors at 200ft long. The Southern ran trains across the top whilst the RH&DR ran freight trains below Remnants of the former Southern Railway bridge at Denge. Hercules at New Romney Station Little Bug built in 1926 by Kruss, Munich. Originally a RH&DR locomotive it eventually found its way to Belfast before being found in a scrapyard and finding its way back to the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.
